In early 1935, when the Late Sheikh Hamad Abdullah Alessa picked a few traditional items for trading, little did he know that he was heralding the birth of a large Corporate Establishment, which later on came to be named after him, the Hamad A. Alessa & Sons Co.
 

It was a modest beginning for him though, yet there has been no looking back since then. Resources were scant but his strong determination, firm resolution and an unquenchable passion for excellence took him to great heights. The Company has since diversified and established itself in Manufacturing,Trading, Exports & Imports, Banking & Investment; and behind the now enviable stature of the Group as it enjoys today stands a formidable experience of more than six decades, thus making it one of the forerunners in its businesses.
